I have a 2016 Vantage V8 N430 with sports seats and unlike my previous 2011 Vantage this one does not have the leather flaps for the seat belt to go through. My wife and I not being very tall means the seat belt rubs over the top of the seat and as a result it generates a creaking noise which has become quite annoying!

I have tried to eradicate it by wiping the seat belt and top of the seat with a soapy water solution but this has not worked, so I’m putting the question to the thread to see if anyone has had a similar issue and managed to sort it!

I await your collective wisdom!

Well, well, those leather straps are also on the list of discontinued features.

Wings badge on engine.
Leather strap (to lower the tailgate).
Leather straps (seatbelt guides).

I wonder what else was removed?
I also wonder how they spent the few pennies saved?

Try leather cream I had the same problem.

Put seat belt on and rub some leather cream on the underside of the seatbelt where it sits across the seat worked for me.

Leather strap (to lower the tailgate) was removed?! How do you lower the boot then, daft question but use the outside? that is not good.

Mine has the leather strap to lower the boot, but not as Jon said the Wings badge on the top of the engine block!

Have used WD40 wiped onto door rubbers to good effect to stop window creaking, not sure about leather and seatbelt though!
