Yes, another squeaky brake thread

I'm going to get some Porterfields for my DB11 V12 and have found conflicting reports on which Porterfield product number to buy

Some say to get AP1990 for the front and AP1165 for the rear, both the R4S product. This would include this apparent Porterfield site:
https://porterfield-brakes.com/search-result/?year...

Then when I go to https://www.porterfieldbrakes.co.uk/shop/?wpce_sea... they say to get 1165 for both the front and rear. Can't seem like that's accurate.

So is it the AP1990 front/AP1165 combo then?

I am replying to this thread, with caution, as I will be very far afield of the AM "purist".

I've owned my 2018 DB11 V12 for 15 months now. When I purchased it, it needed front and rear brake pads, so I did this brake job right away, myself, but first, I spent numerous hours, online, researching which Brembo brake systems were used on this car.

I did this research because I have two decades of brake experience with street driven cars (NOT tracked) using ceramic pads that do NOT squeak (ever), wear well, NEVER leaves brake dust on wheels, stop decently (again, not recommended for track). My goto pads are Powerstop (Z series) and I've put these pads on numerous cars including several performance Corvettes, Jaguars, Bentley, AMG GTS, etc.

I found the cross references for the DB11 V12 to be:

Rear Brembo Calipers are the same as the 2012 Corvette ZR1
Front Brembo Calipers are the same as the 2016 AM Vantage 6 piston calipers.

I purchased the listed Powerstop (Z series) Ceramic pads for my 2018. I've NEVER had a squeak, squeal, or any utterance of a noise or sound of any kind coming from my DB11 in over a year now. And, I do not have dust buildup on the wheels, ever.

There will likely be noise coming from the purists as these are not expensive pads, and that very fact will cause some pushback here, I expect.

I had Pagids fitted to my rear brakes a year ago and they started squeaking a few weeks ago. Is there a fix?

How do you normally drive the car? if you're fairly sedate then an "Italian tune-up" will often return the brakes to silent operation..

If my V8V brakes do start to squeal (very rare these days - perhaps that reflects on my style of driving? whistle) then that's what I do to remedy the issue

Likely they just need bedding in again, if you dont drive very hard they may need doing from time to time
