Do you want my usual reply about buying warranties?

If I had bought a warranty for every year of AM ownership, I would by now have been £25,000 down on the deal.
My biggest in-service expense has been a clutch and that would not have been covered by warranty anyway.

I have probably been lucky, but numerically, far more warranty buyers will be lucky than unlucky.

I just paid 2830 for a 2013 Vantage

So I have only had the car 2 years and so this is my second year of purchase

So when I had the clutch done the ASM pump broke , which was 900 quid on its own and at last service there was an oil leak from the cam cover , 1200 to fix. Both covered by the warranty

So you pays the money and makes your choice as they say

My GT8 warranty renews next month and afaik the prices are indeed fixed with a discount as such if you go for a 2 year as opposed to single year extension.
I’ve had the car from new and whilst to date would be out of pocket per se will probably continue with the warranty.

I need to extend the warranty on my 2018 V12 Vantage AMR in October. Back in January, I asked HWM (all main dealers should quote the same) for a 2 year "discounted bundle" and they answered with:

Currently a further 2 year extension is £4479.00 however AM may increase the costs.

It did make me think a few times, but I will go for it. At just over £2k/year, one big bill could easily offset that. As I put around 5-6k miles on mine a year, it increases the likelihood. I know that wear and tear items aren't covered, but the warranty and dealers have been more than fair over the past 6 years and 3 cars.

Thanks for the replies , I am inclined to take it given they did 7k of work to the car before I collected it ,and have had a couple of issues already resolved under warranty .

If it gives you a good night's sleep knowing your maximum exposure is ~£2k/year then go for it.

8 yrs ownership of my 2010 V12V. No additional warranties bought (after year 1 AMD sales warranty) Fingers properly crossed, but I figure each year with no claim goes towards the notional ‘pot’ for that first big bill!
