V12/V8 Vantage - stop mirrors folding

Hi - I have a 2011 V12 Vantage which has the folding mirror on lock feature. The cars getting on and they now creak a bit when folding, I’ve tried oiling etc.

It’s not a drama, but really I’d like to just stop the mirrors closing, as I don’t park it anywhere where it’s a benefit, and it’ll ease my ocd everytime I lock the car.

Is there any easy route to switching off the fold feature? Had a Google and couldn’t see a setting I can turn off.

I am a 2013 vantage and in the options menu in the car you can turn it off but that feature was not available on earlier models but I do not know the cut off period but if you don’t have it then it’s off to dealer or garage with AMDS to turn it off
