V12V S audio problem
Discussion
The AM Premium sound system in my V12 V S works well, but this morning it developed a weird fault: ONLY on iPod, the drivers side channel has suddenly gone very very faint.
On CD or DAB or Radio its all fine, but on iPod the drivers side is barely audible. I have checked all the audio settings and everything is as it should be. I checked the iPod and the connector cable in my Discovery 4 (same connection) and it all works fine, so the fault must be in the Aston somewhere. Anyone got any clues?

I discovered that sometimes these glitches repair themselves overnight as the computers that run everything generally reboot if the car is off for a few hours. My system stopped recognizing my phone. I spoke with my Indy Mechanic and he said turn the car off and check it tomorrow. Sure enough it worked the next day. It may be something similar.
If you have an ipod connector then presumably your car must be 2015 or earlier and thus have AMi I
This system was fairly robust and less software driven. If its only the ipod affected and not the cable, then it sounds like damage or dirt / fluff in the ipod connector socket. Try using a compressed air spary to blow it clean maybe.

It was exactly this! Cleaned out with some compressed air plus a wee bit of electrical contact cleaner and normal service is resumed! This system was fairly robust and less software driven. Thanks for the insight.
