Does this flywheel look damaged?

Not to my eye, there looks like one spot that has been hot but apart from that it looks good. I am no expert thougth.

Agreed. Also not an expert, but the machined clutch friction surface doesn't look that clean to me - when I zoom in as close as I can it seems to have lots of small pits and pick-up that I wouldn't expect after only 500 miles. There also appears to be another, larger blued area diametrically opposite to the one in the foreground, (these blued areas may indicate high spots) and the section of the friction surface on the right between the two blued areas appears to have a yellowish hue, as though it's been exposed to heat.

It could, of course, be the photo.

The discolouration will clean up. What matters is if there is distortion/ run out. To check you may need to clock it in situ.

If thats only done 500 miles, it was all done at the drag strip! That discolouration is certainly from overheating and could very easily cause judder. You may not be able to reface it either because the blued areas will be hardened through heat treatment.
