You win some, you lose some

Took an hour's trip in hot weather today for a car club event. The car was sitting in the sun for about four hours and got fairly baked. After leaving, a few hundred yards down the road the 'door open' warning came on. I opened and shut it as I was going along. Warning goes out.
All went well until I got home and found that the window drop function had gone AWOL.
No matter, this happened once before on the passenger side and I know that you just pull out the window module fuse for 10 secs the replace it.
A few seconds after replacing fuse 83 - yes, I'm getting the hang of owning a DB9! - I hear the window go thud and hurrah, it's fixed. But there was also a grinding noise from the door mirror. Uh-oh... And yes, the autofold function has gone AWOL. Arse. That's an AMDS job which means I'll have no autofold mirrors for a year until it goes for service
What cretin at AM decided to bury this basic everyday function so deep that it needs AMDS to change? In the Jaguar X150 I had before, it was a menu setting on the dashboard display...

Scant comfort I know, but auto-fold, along with several other options, are menu items on later models. Just sayin’.All went well until I got home and found that the window drop function had gone AWOL.
