Cheapest DB9 ever?

'The Aston Martin DB9 5.9 Coupe is NOT for the Aston purist. We have priced this car based on the unique colour and paintwork that will appeal to a certain individual.'
Hmm, well silver and black is the exact opposite of unique but I agree the seats have odd silver bits. Apart from a high mileage I wonder what the catch is?

There must be a reason for the sharp and rapid price drops during which time it still hasn't sold. The last drop of £5k is fruity at this price point.
The clue must be in the "this is not a car for the Aston purist", which says to me something about it has been bodged and isn't standard anymore, it certainly doesn't appear to be the "unique" paintwork as you say....
AT Price Tracker
Advertised 06/03/2024, Change -£9,604 (-36%)
19/04/2024 £16,995
03/04/2024 £21,995
26/03/2024 £23,995
19/03/2024 £24,599
06/03/2024 £26,599
The current "offer" ends on 27th April, presumably after which time they will knock another few grand off it

I have spotted the problem.
Cannot remember whether all DB9s have the small rear seats. I hope so, because the buyer of this car will have to sit in the back.
It is made clear in the advert description, that the car comes with a driver and passenger.
Perhaps the buyer is expected to provide board and lodging for those two people. -

How do we see previous price changes, Adam?

Although the colour of that may appeal more to Adam ?
Good spot! I do like that.... Only 21k miles since 1988 seems very odd for a van though.
It also has a deal on the price by the 27th April.
In fact looking at the deal stock on AT, they have all had rapid and meaty price drops over the last month and all have to go by 27th April. Perhaps the dealership has cashflow problems and the issue may be with them, rather than the DB9 itself....

I think the change to a Kawasaki engine might also affect the Rascal price. Only 21k miles since 1988 seems very odd for a van though.

It probably sounds quite good though.

Hm. Just thinking - at that price, it might be worth a punt. If it breaks, then take it to WBAC and accept whatever they offer (£5k?). Or drive it off the cliffs of Dover and sell it to Mat Armstrong.
I suppose beyond a point it's worth it just for the parts.
Or an AMG V8 engine.
