Always been wary of cars that emit blue smoke on cold start.
I was looking at a 2013/14 Vanquish on Saturday and on cold start out came the blue smoke ... the dealer said they all do that, I looked at him with a quizzical expression.
To those more in the know than I on these cars ... is this true? If not true, what experience do people have of getting it looked at and if I were interested in the car, are we talking a lot to rectify?
I will also ask the few indies I take my car too.

If you start one of these and don’t let it warm or shunt it round a showroom and shut it off, then yes. They will always chuck out blue smoke when you then go and start them, all of the V12s do it.
However if she’s been on a run or right up to temp then no, they shouldn’t do that.
I imagine they’ve moved it, run it for 30 seconds then shut it off.

Whilst out this afternoon, I popped into Phoenix Aston Martin in Basingstoke.
Paul and Andy have a combined 50 years with Aston Martin through main dealer network and independent before establishing Phoenix.
According to them, all V12's in their time will emit a puff of blue smoke and claim it's perfectly normal on cold start and generally nothing to be overly concerned about. If however plumes of blue smoke emit then it's usually the PCV valves that need replacement.
The main dealer I was talking too were in the south near London.
