The buzz is dead

Well, this is both embarrassing and joyous...

However, for the past 6k miles, it has occasionally sounded like I've been driving near Chernobyl with a high frequency Geiger counter-like buzz on particular rough road surfaces. I was able to tune it out in my head largely, but it always detracted from the experience. (Every mile has still been epic, mind...)
Two months ago I dropped into Aston Installations. I had a front camera very neatly integrated into the AMiii system (it was actually an option with the Vanquish Zagato, so no need for extra controls). At the same time, I mentioned the buzzing, but as I was watching the clock, didn't have a chance to take one of the team out to understand what the noise was. They took the waterfall dash off and tied down some loose bits, but the noise persisted. It was worth a try.
Following the 1,100 mile tour of Northumberland and Dumfriesshire last month, I was determined to exterminate the buzzing. So I arranged to return to Aston Installations and take one of their team for a drive on the local motorways.
10 minutes later, I kept quiet about being adamant that the noise came from the air vents. Within 10 minutes, Ryan had pinpointed the noise as originating from the vanity light and rain sensor housing directly behind the interior mirror! To prove it, he simply pressed it and the noise stopped. Doh!
The fix was done in less time than it took to test drive it. They checked it all out on the road and after more than a year of downing out the buzzing with the B&O, there was blissful silence. Apart from the laugh-inducing 595bhp through the pipes
A huge "thank you" to Aston Installations. They really know their stuff. You only have to realise who and which organisations entrust their cars with them to understand that they are the recognised experts in their field. I can't praise their service, skills and general attitude enough. Amazing work. Again

I feel your joy. There is nothing quite like finally defeating a rattle/vibration/buzz. I envy folks who just aren't bothered by them - I become an obsessive trying to chase them down.
In my DB9 (now sold - replaced with V8V) I had about half the interior on my office floor whilst trying to find what was causing an annoying buzz that I was adamant was coming from the driver's side B-pillar/C-pillar area. After about 6 months and many headaches it turned out to be one of the screws in the external chrome trim above the driver's window.
Now, I've never scored a goal at Anfield, or a try at the Arms Park, but I know exactly how it feels if you do...

I totally understand the annoyance a buzz can make to a journey, had a similar thing with my glove box door. Fixed it myself however, I concur re Aston Installations, I was there recently after having an issue with my rear camera, ended up buying an alcantara steering wheel as well.
They are dangerous that way
