I had my air con refilled last week and we couldn’t get the compressor clutch to engage and kick the compressor on. I found that the a/c clutch fuse was blown so replaced that, but it immediately blew again when I tried the a/c. I don’t suppose anyone else has had a similar issue? I’m pretty sure it was working ok last summer.

Had a look for replacement compressors, if that’s the issue, and the going rate seems to be £8/900 - does that sound about right?

Thanks

Sounds about right, unless you import one via Aliexpress. If you do they come in at about £200 delivered. I can't vouch for the quality, but they are Denso originals I think.

Nice one, thanks. Think I’m too chicken to go for the Aliexpress one, so I’ll have to stump up for the Aston one.

Any chance there is an equivalent Volvo / Ford part? Just a thought...

dont know anyone thats tried though ?

Last time on my 2006 Vantage, I replaced the compressor in 2012 and it was £700 fitted for OE part

Thanks all. The car is in for a service at the moment and they said there’s a chance it could be an electrical issue, so will wait on that. If not, I think I’ll have to go for the genuine AM compressor.
