What are must-have options on a 2018 4.0 V8 Vantage?
Discussion
Copying slightly from a previous thread, but the 2018ish Vantage, other than cosmetic/aesthetic options what are the 'must haves', 'nice to haves' or really rare options?
Looking at the described spec on even the Timeless site, lists some slightly odd options, I can't say I've ever seen a car with anything else but, 'Exterior Door Handles in Body Colour' but it appears to be a thing.
And then there's the 'packs' just what is included in Comfort, Tech, or Sport Plus?
To be honest I'd probably buy a car as long as it meets most of my cosmetic must haves, right colour, right interior, quad pipes but just curious if there's anything that owners can't live without?

For me Sports Seats with contrast stitching were a must as well as the Gloss Black bodypack (otherwise all the black bumpers and door sills are a not so nice flat black), Technology pack on earlier cars included the 360-degree cameras and blind spot monitoring. Heated and cooled seats as well as premium audio are nice options too.
A well-equipped car has about $35-45K worth of options (US $). If buying from an Aston dealer they can provide you an electronic version of the window sticker.

I bought one from the showroom floor as part of a 2 car deal so didn't spec it myself but it was a highly specced version.
The alcantara / leather pack gave the interior a really good feel and look along with the Sports seats which I think were known as Sports plus.
Premium audio always more acceptable than standard, mine had the rear diffuser inserts painted in body colour which I think made a big difference.
Mine also had the 20 inch forged wheels -ride comfort v look v performance a decent balance.
Pack wise mine had the Sports plus ,the exterior black, inside dark chrome jewellery.
One thing I wished it did have was the carbon fibre side gills but like alcantara that's just a fetish of mine.

At my price point, <£80k a V12 previous shape is a possibility, but head is ruling heart at the moment. turboman786 said:
Quad exhausts are a must
that is an absolute deal breaker, although I've filed it under 'cosmetics'. Happy hunting.
Specifications are a personal thing, so it’s hard to tell you what you want but I would say useful options on an early 18 car are Aston Martin Premium audio - Cruise - 360 camera - Sports + seats - quad tail pipes - interior leather upgrades to lift the plain standard alcantara ott mass!
See below for option packs and a note on the 2020MY where the standard specification increased considerably - making the newer cars a bit more attractive (also including a fair bit from the list above) - hope this helps
Sports Plus Pack- Includes Sports Plus seats & Sports steering wheel
Exterior Black Pack- Includes Matte Black front grille mesh, Matte Black window surround finisher
Tech Pack - Includes keyless entry, blind spot monitoring, auto park assist, touchpad, glass switches, electronic steering column and cruise control
Comfort Pack - Includes 16-way seat adjust, heated seats, closed stowage & armrest
Note: The quad exhaust system was an option on early cars,, it became standard around the 19MY New Standard Features from the 20 Model Year Quad Tailpipes (matte black) - 360 degree Surround View Camera - Technology Pack (TEC 3) which features: Keyless Entry - Blind Spot Monitoring - Auto Park - Touch Pad - Glass Switches - Cruise Control - Electric Steering Column.

Cheers, that's useful
Sports Pack Plus seems a 'must have' the others I can live without, although I guess you've got to have one eye on resale spec and while I'd be more than happy with no tech what so ever the next buyer probably wouldn't, I wish there was a 'club sport' pack, lots of Carbon and no Gadgets, but with lots of leather.
Is there a 'pack' that changes the dash from alcantara to leather?
I don't use/need sat nav, or parking aids, I hate keyless entry with a passion, and the radio is only for back ground noise.
Although I might be needing the parking aids to get it in the garage, the dealer is bringing a car round tomorrow to see if it goes through the single door, if that's a no, it's changing the 2 singles to a one big door before the shopping can start.

Hope it fits & you find a car you're happy with. I've found most of the options on my car I could live without as fundamentally, it's quite a brute which provides most of the enjoyment. I have lots of carbon and all the "packs" on mine and it also has the vented bonnet which, given how hot it runs - I think goes beyond aesthetics.
I did seek out one with the vaned front grill as I think it'll age better. I do wish the later cars had the same sound as the pre-GPF models though - but as mine's a roadster I do still get some aural delight.
Although you may discount the keyless tech, the key is huge and if you have the tracker, has a giant fob to accompany it, so I actually find it useful not having to use a key.
