I took some screenshots from a short flashy video that AM posted on Instagram;
^ Looks like the front grill material, interesting..
^ This looks to be the rear spoiler area. Some extra air vents to increase the spoiler effect?
^ Part of headlight, front grill, bonnet, wheel arch..
In the rest of the video you can see a lot of small carbon fibre parts.
First I thought it was the new Vantage but in the text it says #dbs.
Could it be AM will introduce the new DBS alongside the new Vantage?
It seems to me like the ‘new’ DBS doesn’t look much different to the old one..^ Looks like the front grill material, interesting..

If it ain’t broke….
Has to be the V12, bumped to 825+hp with bigger turbos etc. With an even more jazzed up version of the DB12’s interior, if they can manage the traction what a machine that will be. Likely to be £300k+ though….
Imho it is very unlikely that new DBS(S?) will be revealed at the same time as updated (new new?) Vantage. But you never know. Whatever happens, Monday 12th February should be a very interesting day!
ETA……I’ve just seen the video on Facebook.
Not sure if it’s a new DBS version or not…….but the marketing (spiel/blurb/word salad) department has been busy again.
Glides like a ballerina……punches like a brute. My oh my!
BRM.

They may as well have just said what they really wanted to say - “floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee”

Launching two models at the same event, or even in the same month, would not be best for business.
Each launch needs to build excitement and gain as much publicity coverage as possible.
Two models at different times, then you get two separate lots of exciting marketing publicity 'for your buck'.

The Vanquish name had been mooted for the mid-engine car, which was belatedly abandoned.
There has been an alternating naming sequence for Aston Martin's halo car;
Vanquish(1); DBS; Vanquish(2); DBS Superleggera; so Vanquish would therefore seem likely to be the name.
Marek Reichmann has deviated from the corporate script.
The DB12 is supposed to be the World's first Super Tourer.
Mr. Reichmann referred to it as just a grand tourer.
Although the DBS successor is evidently based on the DB12, it will be “completely different to both that grand tourer and the new Vantage", Aston Martin chief creative officer Marek Reichman has told Autocar.
We will let you off 'different to'.

Different from, not different to... the illiterate baboons![/i]
It seems that the more cars AM launch, the more money they lose.
Whilst sitting in the dentist's waiting room today I was reading Chris Harris's article about the Valkyrie. How many have they sold and how much profit did it make?

The build plan is;
Valkyrie ............. 150
Valkyrie Pro ..... .. 25
Valkyrie Spider ... 85
Said to have all been sold. Think deliveries now might number about half of the total.
When the project was first announced, Andy Palmer said it would be a halo project, to showcase AML's mid-engine engineering expertise, before producing other mid-engine models. Therefore it might not be profit making.
That was even before all the development difficulties and considerable delays.
Will you be watching the AML 2023 Results Presentation tomorrow morning ?
Check the Stock Market Listing topic, for the link. You just need to register in advance.
Expect we may see LS using his special sentences, with some possible 'ducking and diving' during the question session.
Perhaps they might want to adopt the National Trust AGM Q & A system. A question was put to the Chairman, then the next member was invited to ask their question. So it went on. None of the many questions were ever answered, so it was more Q, than Q & A.
Most peculiar.
