They both prefer the 911 as a sports car but say that does not matter as the Aston makes you feel SO SPECIAL!!!!

Agreed,
The mystique and rarity of the Vantage produces an emotion response unduplicated by the 911, the feeling that every drive is a very special occasion.

who is Nicholas Rufford ?

does he always write complete shite?

"Buying one could be as disappointing as going on holiday to Phuket and expecting it to be as unspoilt as it was in the Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. Instead you find it’s full of drunk people at foam parties. "

and what the hell is a "pretentiously styled dashboard"? and the buttons are fidly is that it? I dont care I'll manage thanks. Reminds me of an article about the maserati Quatroport in which some guy complained about where the mirror adjust switch was

and

"The downside, on older models, was that if you braked too violently it wanted to spin through 180 degrees because the lump of metal at the back was a lot heavier than the golf clubs in the front."

funny mine does not do this should I sell it and buy one that does?

After reading that one short article Ive come to the conclusion that the guy is a cock. just writing bollox to fill up his article in a oh I'm so clever look at my vast motoring knowlage.

This doesn't read tooo bad

"How good is this car? I rarely allow myself to get excited about the prospect of driving a new car because too often I end up disappointed, but I’ll not hide that I lost sleep the night before driving the Vantage. Yet, despite this, the car exceeded even these lofty expectations.

When I first drove the DB9 I thought Aston Martin had delivered its masterpiece; having driven the Vantage, it’s now clear they were only practising."
