2009 Aston Martin Vantage windscreen wipers
Discussion
Resurrecting this … thought I’d replace my wiper blades again but just spent half hour on google and can’t find any Michelin Stealth in the right size. Not even on Michelins site, nor specialist wiper blade suppliers, so they appear to have stopped making the larger ones. Or maybe I’m just missing them (some filters don’t work from a phone it seems) Plenty of 20” ones but no 24” ( that I can see anyway…)
If anyone has a valid supplier link or can recommend more up to date alternatives, please do! Thanks

I’m currently using the Bosch Aero and they work perfectly. However, the reason I changed them was because the rain wasn’t wiping away properly, with the lower half of the screen not being touched., which wasn’t due to the blades.
The issue was due to the wiper arm becoming very stiff. I took the arm off and used WD40 on the hinge and kept moving it back and forth. Eventually it loosened up and the range of movement increased massively. I also unhooked the spring and moved it from the centre position to the left position and closed the C shaped ring by about 2mm. The blade now hugs the screen perfectly. If you have the same issue as I did, maybe just try the WD40 first, as the spring tension might be fine and not need adjusting. Hopefully you just need new blades, lol.

Hi, do you know what Bosch code yours are? I ordered size I needed but wrong fitting on them, and their vehicle finder site doesn’t help. The early wiper arms are not designed for the Bosch aero twins, the later arms, fitted to 2012+ cars are designed for the more modern design of wiper blades and these later arms can be retrofitted to earlier cars.

This ^^^The reason the AI generated junk above mentions "some users have experienced issues with Bosch Aerotwin" will entirely be down to them trying to fit what is the later style blades to an early car, which yours is. Stick with the recommended blades for the earlier cars as per PH thread.
For what its worth the Bosch Aerotwin blades are absolutely identical to the later version of the AM blades, the only difference being the Bosch logo. Id be amazed if AM didnt source them from Bosch but asked for the logos removing.
....and as a general rule of thumb don't believe any summary that google AI generates - always click on the source material and interpret yourself properly.

I got my aerotwins to wipe properly, it took a lot of repeated bending to shape but they wipe normally now, the oe springs must be very weak.
I think this is why the earlier threads recommended Michelin Stealth instead of oem replacements. Also look nicer! However, now unable to source a 20/24 set in UK (available in US though). Interestingly though I ended up finding an Oem set yesterday that was 650/500 so will now see if I can find a 26 instead.Ps if anyone has any experience of the VIPA ones, let me know!
