Hi All, I am new to this site so hopefully in the right place. My Vantage start up screen is blank, the one where on start up it say Power, Beauty, Soul, Aston Martin.....then you get speed readings and any error messages.

Has anyone else had this issue and any advise on how to fix it.

Many Thanks

Hi there, I know this is an old question but I also have recently had this problem develop on my 2006 Vantage, did you get it repaired or have to replace the complete instrument cluster?

I remember that happening to me a few times but it always fixes itself the next time I start the engine. Try the old trick of disconnecting the vattery

Thread bump as this has just happened to me, car is a 2011 V8S and is in dry storage on a conditioner.

Fired it up for the first time in 9 months, blank screen. No amount of on off cycling is making it return.

The screen display failure I haven’t seen before. I will today try a battery disconnect today as mentioned in other posts.

Does anyone know of the screen issue or knows if there is a fix? - it’s just blank. No mileage readout, no cycling, no ‘pure aston martin’ nothing. All other electrics (except washers) working fine.

Quick question - does it come back if you cycle the push button on the indicator stalk? I know that one of the states is a clear screen, before you get fuel consumption >> speed>> etc. Just a thought.

I did the battery disconnect a couple of times but still no joy, hasn’t anyone else ever seen or heard of this issue ?

Bump again, no idea what to do, surely others have experienced this?

The start up ‘power beauty soul’ screen is completely blank. No amount of ignition on off, battery disconnect or button pressing is making it come back…

The service history of my early 2007 V8V shows that it failed on my car and had to be replaced.

Thanks LPH. It’s what I’d feared - yet another bit of the electrics. Do you have record of component cost?

The main dealers are telling me that they will now only sell the entire instrument binnacle - £3100 + VAT.

Might be worth giving Aston Installations a call to see if it is something they have come across ? There's not much James and Lenny don't know about Aston electronics.......

If you take the cable off the back of the starter button you get a similar effect. Could it be a faulty connection on one of the leads to the starter button? I think that throws an error as well. Do you have an OBD reader? These are virtually essential if you have an AM!

Interesting. Re the OBD, I just have something cheap, I was planning on upgrading to a decent OBD tool. What’s the best for the car?

Well it’s not my thread but I may as well update it until a solution.

Screen still blank, virtually nothing in forums about total failure, plenty about deterioration and removal of the protective strip. I called Aston Installations and those displays aren’t their thing, never repaired one.

I’ve found this outfit online - they claim to be able to repair the OLED display for a fixed £495, you simply remove and send them your dash. Worryingly, they say it’s the battery conditioner that can damage these fragile displays….

Anyone had them do their screen?

£600 for 40 minutes work. That sounds like a lot Aston tax.

You probably would find out it breaks down as:
Fixing LCD screen - £100
Consultation fee for knowledge on how to fix LCD screen - £495

Just business. If they are competing with AML wanting £3200 plus vat plus labour plus vat for the entire binnacle, likely a 5k bill then it looks like peanuts.

It is funny how the price for a (presumably) same or similar job is in direct proportion to the value/status of the vehicle though… ie £150 for a van display repair, £350 for an Audi and of course £500 for a. Aston smile

Maybe I will request a discount as it’s likely a Ford part smile
