regassed the system twice, both failing after 2 days.
green dye is splattered over he front end of the engine, as if the dye has leaked through the condenser and gone past the water radiator on to the front of the engine.
any advice if this is a part specific to the DB9:
9G43 19710 AA at £400+ !!!!!
as a DIYer will be fitting it myself but asking if others have found cheaper alternatives.
thanks

I have a secondhand XK8 condenser. Bought it when I was told I needed a replacement, but it was just a fitting that had failed.
It is an early XK8 one, as that was the correct fitting size for a Mk1 Vanquish, so may be the same for the DB9?? You can get pattern ones for c£75 - £100 from memory.

thanks for your replies.
yes the Mondeo looks similar but the ports which look identical to the DB9's look placed lower down.
mondeo pattern part is about £110.
as mentioned, a skilled technician could add extensions to the existing pipe work.
the XK8 pipework looks very different.
I have a size diagram of the Mondeo condenser....any idea where I can get a size/pattern diagram of the DB9 ? because if size is identical then I will try going down the modified route.
thanks again.

Hello
Some news for alternate part ?
Thanks
There are definitely aftermarket options out there - I have one in mine, which I fitted myself. Mine came from astonmartinbits and was £400-ish. It was a few years ago but I don't remember it being a terrible job, other than that someone before me had butchered a few of the bolts on the slam panel, which I had to drill out. Some news for alternate part ?
Thanks
May be other options now in the alternative parts thread/list?
