Aston Martin in movies
Discussion
Hitchcock's "The Birds"
DB2/4 drop-head coupe.
"The Getaway"
DB7, V8 Vantage (although not sure whether either or both got into the final cut)
"Gone in 60 Seconds" - 2000 version
DB7 (Mary)
1962 DB1 (Barbara)
"The Italian Job" - 2003 version
Vanquish

G'day Daz,
the Zag mule is a big pussycat, one of the easiest and nicest Astons to drive....but very fast. At full anger mode the power is brutal, but easy to control. I keep it road registerd here in the USA and go down to the local coffee shop in it when I'm not racing it. It is probably the fastest V8 car the factory built. Everyone who has ever driven or been for a ride in "Vnky", as it is known, comes back gobsmacked!

Rich (used to own the Zag mule) told me of a speed he recorded off a roundabout to a brdge 2/3 of the way down a dual carriageway in Bristol (UK). To this day I have not been able to equal it in my 450bhp porsche.
Incidently I saw the car in your profile about 10 days ago and emailed him saying I'd spotted his old car. He may email you, via your PH profileto see how the beast is behaving.
Do you have any other piccys of the car? especially interior shots?
cheers

G'day Daz,
say hello to Rich for me, tell him the car is in good hands and after some major work is faster than ever. Also he can't buy it back! When I bought the car from him we did a run down the road in question and the speed he recorded was genuine. Send me your email and I will send some pictures to you.

Here's a site that lists a fair number of Astons in the movies.
www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-Aston-Martin.html
I remembered that Lara Croft has an Aston in Tomb Raider to get around in England, when she prefers 4 wheels to 2. But it's just an incidental thing. I didn't recognize it myself at the time. That site shows it to be a Vanquish.
