AM Marketing Speak
Discussion
OK,
Meant to be a fun thread, so post any marketing speak you've seen from AM (Facebook is full of them) and we can see if anyone can translate it into the Queens English. I saw this, earlier this week along with George
When passion opens its jaws, we bite. DB11 is impossible to ignore.
I have no idea what it means!

The whole "beautiful" tag line thing winds me up, surely this should be apparent and not need a noun every couple of sentences to point it out.
I couldn`t help but notice while on the AM website a few days ago, that in the short "Heritage" section it contains the word beauty or beautiful 8 times...
"The love of beautiful has always been our guiding principle. And Martin and Bamford’s coming together – our origins as a company – was our earliest expression of it."
Really?

Times have changed though - had social media been as prevalent in 2003, we'd have had #PowerBeautySoul everywhere. As it is, instead when you look at the brochure for the DB9, page 2, 3 and 4 all have 'Power Beauty Soul' in huge text. The old Vantage brochure was the same on that front, but also made mention of 'sensory pleasures'.
Imagine the hashtag "sensorypleasures"
It's not something I'd associate with cars...
My point is, this type of lyrical metaphors and romantic marketing statements, is nothing new, it's just more visible these days.

OK not AM, but I remember years ago a lager ad campaign (IIRC) used the expression 'reassuringly expensive'. I was quite impressed with the idea that something could be 'reassuringly expensive' and I rather think it might happily apply to AM too
On the other hand my ex wife was 'reassuringly expensive'

We must cheer Aston Martin, because I don't think they have ever incorporated self praise in their model names.
SKODA SUPERB
Is that Skoda being pompous?
Could they not at least wait for others to decide, whether their car might be considered superb? _
