AMV8 - when's yours due ?
Discussion
My dealer has told me I've got his car no.11 (LOI January 2003, deposit Spetember 2004), but I've heard nothing from him about speccing the car. Whenever I call to ask about delivery dates, he won't be specific.
I don't trust this guy as far as I could throw a Vanquish, so it would help if some of you who've been asked to spec could let me know where you were in the lists and when you've been promised delivery.
Thanks...

Most people who have specced their cars were expecting delivery Sept/Oct/Nov. However AM admitted to dealers last week that there is a 3 month delay now so that means Dec/Jan/Feb now.
I have not been asked to spec mine yet although I estimate delivery in Feb/March for mine based on my wait number

Who's your dealer ?
I agree with the fact that most of the first deliveries have been specced. Mine is for end of September (wishful thinking!) and I went to the factory last month. However dont forget that your number on the list means nothing unless you know how many cars he get allocated by the factory....

A mate of mine is suposed to be getting his in September , it is for sale if any one is interested
From what I hear, if AM get a whiff that your mate is a speculator, all he'll have in September is the return of his deposit.
Bloody right, too. I find it ralluy annoying when this happens to any car, and it even happens on this forum. Many peoiple say "I put a deposit down, but now I cannot take delivery, and i reckon its worth about £10K over list price. Any takers??"
No, its worth what yuo paid for it...
If you think some speculators are bad, how does £110,000 grab you for a AMV8?

Interesting that theirs is due before any of the press, dealer or customer cars!
So, who's going to be first to snap up this 'bargain'

There was one in the Sunday Times last week for £99,999.99. I think that might sell but £110K....no way!!

£11K is to "buy" the deposit!!
This is going to make me unpopular but I have 'speculated' many times.
Really can't see the problem it's just trade, buying and selling. I have used speculating to help me pay for some very nice cars to own and run.
It's not worth what you paid - It's worth what someone else is willing to pay!

Bad Co...nothing wrong at all. My comment was that I would never buy from a speculator as I would never pay over list price for anything. Sell YES, buy NO!!!
