Apparently the AM V8 is being displayed at the Motor Expo show at Canary Wharf this week. I'll be popping down there later today to take a look - anyone else going or been?

It's in the main tower and looks great, but it's behind ropes so you can only really get the view from the front

Side by side the three cars looks too similar.

The AMV8 pictured behind the DB9 in the article seems to be the ruby metallic red...that is the colour I want on mine (due November) any pikkies would be fantastic, as I am off to Le Mans tomorrow to cheer the boys on and thus cannot make the show.

Just got back from taking a look around the car, and 1st impressions are that it's very nice indeed, especially in red.

A few snaps:

I'd prefer to see the number plate set lower and how do you hide the contents of the boot from prying eyes?

No Fear!
There is a boot cover thingy that fits on the hatchback door that will cover the boot area.

I would rather go for the DB 9 Volante. Saw the V8 at Canary Wharf and I was not impressed at all. It is really a baby Aston when you can see the Vanquish S next to it.

'Tis nigh on £90k cheaper though. And having sat in both the V8 and the Vanquish at Canary Wharf, the interiors don't compare....the V8 is leagues ahead. The Vanq really does need updating and, for the extra £90k, I don't want Aston re-using the DB9/V8 interior again. It's time for something new.

Personally, I'll have a DB9 coupe. The V12 is

its a shame the shape of the grill is interupted by the number plate.

To the side sim to Alfa would have been good.

I'm assuming the V8 requires more air into the lower grille. The DB9 has the no. plate slightly covering this lower grille, leaving the main grille clear.

It's a small point, but makes quite a difference once you've noticed it.

It'd look even better with no number plate at all!
