A grand to jump the queue?

There's an April 06 build AMV8 on eBay at moment. 5 days left and only £1k currently. Not bad, if it doesnt go too much higher. Its through a dealer too, so less dodgy?
Seems like there are loads of speculators on the waiting lists, which is a shame for the enthusiasts who have to wait longer. On the brighter side, it seems like they are struggling to offload the slots, as there are many around at moment and well below the 5 figure premiums that they may have originally wished for. However, its a long time until Autumn, and who knows what will happen to the demand once these beautys get out into the public eye!

as I mentioned previously, there are alot of people on the lists that now the car is ready to go, may have changed their minds or got something else. They will either, pass on the chance to place a deposit or take the option and try and turn it. Cant blame them. But I went from p20odd to 10 when asked for deposit, so half are passing.
I passed up my fairly early order and several people i know have too. I just think that with some nice extra's etc its getting too expensive for what it is.
When it came down to it, i just didnt get excited about the prospect of owning one over a Ferrari, Lambo , DB9 etc. You'll get a very good DB9 for AMV8 money when they come out.

DB9s are certainly coming down in price, but even the earliest one are still above list.
A fully specced V8 is rather expensive though.
I guess some people will be prepared to buy into the Aston "vibe" (beauty, history, power, comfort, exlcusivity - that certain something no other car marque has)....others won't.
For me, it's worth every penny (easy for me to say as without a lottery win I won't be getting one )
