Calling Jhoneyball - or other V8 owners
Discussion
I really shouldn't do this, but I can't stand what this man is saying, but don't have the ownership experience myself to adequately argue.
I would invite you to have a look here:

And possibly post a rebuttal, if you feel the need.

It seems the man has no soul. If you want reliable economical transport with minimum running costs then, erm, don’t buy an Aston! If you want something that makes you grin every time you even look at it then you’ve got to be prepared to put up with the costs and live with the “character” of the car. Plus, what you spend on maintenance you should save on depreciation (assuming you bought wisely). It’s not about getting from A to B, for me anyway it’s more about enjoying the journey. I can’t see any sense in trying to compare hand-built sports cars with fiesta’s and family run-abouts; they’re just different tools for different things.
I'm not going to argue with him -- many aston owners have bad experiences (as do ferrari, lambo etc etc etc).
He has had several cars and I expect (though I dont know) that he has probably been going to the wrong places for servicing.
Yes, my V8 Vantage does require a lot of work -- but its a bit like living in an old country house. You have to accept that the gutters need clearing every year, the paint needs checking, and the roof is a 10 year major expense. Then theres cost of the gardner to keep the lawns and borders sorted out.
If you want a modern no-fuss house, then buy a 911.
There is no right and wrong here. I wouldnt swap my Vantage for any 911, however. But thats me

To continue the country house analogy Mr. Honeyball, what happens when you put wood in your gas Aga or coal on your wood-burning stove ?
??????
To me this is implying you are asking what happens if you put the wrong fuel in the car?
If so, then the same as with any other car, it is just likely to be more expensive with the Aston!
