N430 not that rare and was effectively a Vantage S without the carbon fibre splitter & diffuser. Otherwise spec was quite good as long as you like the colour schemes/stripes. Probably the most likely V8V that you will find lightweight seats in if your interested in those. Great Evo N430 video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkAT82-R0S8
I own one of the N420 Roadsters and would agree, its nice having something a bit rarer, but I can't see it being sought after. I think the problem is there are so many Vantages out there in different variants, that it's almost difficult to differentiate.
I think as a car though it is great. Really offers some nice parts for the money.

It was my original intention to buy an N430 due to its write-up in Evo magazine by Henry Catchpole. The more I looked into it, it was a reduced-cost V8VSM with its lack of carbon but also lack of full leather as standard.
This sounds completely superficial, but I eventually gave up going for one as second-hand, the V8VSM examples were very little extra (new, there was a £10k difference?) with its much nicer leather and door cards. It could therefore be argued that any "investment" advantage/disadvantage of the N430 vs. V8VSM has already been played out by the original owner. Personally I also found the "technical" seat and door card material in the N430 a bit off putting, as I did the majority of the exterior colour schemes.
However, the reality was also that the whereas the N430 is rarer than the "run-of-the-mill" V8VM I eventually lumped for, ALL Aston Martins are rare, relatively. In 3-5 years time when Vantage production is a distant memory, my suspicion is that manuals of any ilk along with mileage, history and condition will play the largest factors. Truly special production runs such as the GT12 and the ultimate - V12 Zagato will naturally remain exclusive, but not so much the unlimited production run N430. Even the final 20 in special gunmetal grey colour combo.
I've avoided mentioning the N420 until now as that appeared to be a cosmetic job which was echoed in various publications including the AM Graydon "Bible".

In many ways I agree with NickV8. If the question is "will it be worth more in the long run" who knows. Possibly a smidge.
I drove an N430 in the green/yellow scheme and it's a lovely green, and I did like the racing accents. But if I were buying in that bracket, and I'm not, then I would probably buy the V8S for similar money.

I've got one of the final 20 , ceramic grey with black lipstick .
With dark grey wheels , carbon waterfall, well finished inside with a mix of Alcantra and leather it's a nice subtle version of the Vantage.
In my humble opinion far better than any other standard N430 colour offerings .
Only thing I think they should have fitted is the carbon splitter and rear valance .

I have an N420 in Carbon Black. It has the standard seats with heating and not the lightweight seats.
I didn't start out looking for an N420 but during my search for a good 4.7 stumbled across it. As mentioned most of the extra parts are things that could be optioned on any vantage at the time, but as a package it's a really lovely car.
To find a car with the spec of mine would have been a difficult task or a long wait. In addition to the carbon bits and pieces it has the AM sports exhaust, the N420 stitching including the race track pattern seats, alcantara wheel and from standard I believe they came fully optioned too.
I'm not really that into carbon but the rear diffuser alone is a lovely looking thing! I had hoped to find a car with the lightweight seats but the standard seats are very nice and I like the heating function.

I agree it's the best N430 they made visually (although the black one was nice as well). With dark grey wheels , carbon waterfall, well finished inside with a mix of Alcantra and leather it's a nice subtle version of the Vantage.

The carbon additions never bothered me personally. The first time I skimmed a high kerb whilst parking forwards (normally reverse park) I dreaded what it did to the front plastic splitter on my V8V. Thankfully it being plastic meant there was no resultant damage! Not sure the carbon splitter would have more wallet-melting?

Do all N420/430s have the stitching/embroidery? I am looking at a vehicle for purchase that doesn't have any embroidery but does have the N420 door sills. Was the stitching an option?
Has it got all the other "N" bits other than the stitching ? spec list here of key differences https://astonmartins.com/car-category/vh-architect...

How are things with you Bogie?
What’s the mileage on your lovely Roadster now
All good thx mate What’s the mileage on your lovely Roadster now
76k miles now, not so many in recent years, its currently in for a 10yr service then off to LeMans in it next month.
Likely it will be up for sale in couple of months. Really fancy a V12V Roadster when I find one in the right spec

Be sure to test drive the V12V Roadster first you may be surprised how well your V8 holds up in Roadster form! Also do try a DB11 Volante, the V8 revisions have made it a better drive!
Have a great time in Le Mans
