V12 Vantage S. Turn the DSC off, its summer...
Discussion
I didnt realise how traction control had influenced my driving and the experience.
I got my V12S in Novemeber so got used to the car with DSC on.
I did knock it into track mode now and again in the rain for a little added excitement but in the main its been DSC on.
DSC off and WOW!!! Its a different car
Yes, you've got to be confident but if you,re a "Driver" you will absolutely love it.
I didnt realise how much the systems are actually in use in daily driving.
It just comes alive and I dont mean just when you break traction.
I'm in sport mode for the suspension too and the connection and feedback is wonderful.
Get out and try it
BTW, this is true for the ol' V12V as well.
I've feel very often that the DSC trims torque even if if the orange indicator does not flash - especially when shifting hard 1st-2nd or 2nd-3rd. If its over 20 deg, with warmed tyres and a dry road in track mode the car just leaps forward shifting into 2nd and 3rd.

Well, you certainly have to know what you're doing before you push the 'wrong button' ...or you'll have to go fetch the wheel.

Just done the PDC in May. Instructor told me no need to turn off DSC as it is tuned not to be intrusive so if the light comes on you've done something wrong. I drive quite fast and very rarely do I see the DSC light on, only when setting off and accelerating hard from very low speed. Probably best saved for track days.
I had one moment when it was raining on the motorway, sharp left bend I accelerated mildly and had a serious oversteer and that was with DSC engaged, just to say DSC fully on allows quite some oversteer and confirms the PDC instructor's comments that it is designed to be unobtrusive. So I'd advise to keep it on unless you're in a safe environment, ie a track.

Traction control in 'track mode' has been a total revelation to me.
It's honestly like a completely different car. I couldn't seem to get a good flow going on our roads - I thought the problem was maybe poor tyres or just the suspension tuned way too hard.
Turns out it was the traction control constantly intervening (but doesn't show the orange light unless it's extreme).
PLEASE try your V12 vantage S with traction control in track mode - particularly in the wet, you will get a fantastic feeling for how balanced the car is. I love that the V12 has the torque to adjust the slip angle as you please - so fun!

Well, I'll be the party-pooper and provide a contrarian viewpoint, which has been summarized by others better than I could manage:

Yes, there are stability control systems that are too intrusive. I don't find the V12V(S)'s to be one of them.

Seconded. I 'accidentally' disabled it once and without any possibility of me reacting the Vantage swapped ends snapping just as violently as my old turbo Calibra, under hard acceleration exiting a wet roundabout. Span 360 degrees while sliding 50yds and unbelievably hit nothing. https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a28714/tu...

I got away with it - as an absolute minimum, leave track mode on if you have it and absolutely must play on an empty public road.
I’ve tracked my V12VS three times. Track mode seems to give the most fun, powered slip yet you’ do have a safety net.
On a sprint track, which we privately rent. I felt like a hero with DSC off, catching the small levels of oversteer. I then pushed more and more until I ran out of talent. Car just snapped annd I couldn’t catch it. P zeros didn’t help, but if you did that on a public road it would end very badly.
Back at the sprint track this year, with Mich PS4S the slip seemed far more progressive, but track mode still gave me the best track time.
