I would like to know if these cars from the 60/70's (mostly the DBS and V8's) are practical as a daily driver. I love the looks of these cars and in my views deserve more attention then they get.

SO for those out there how are they to drive? hows there reliability and how much for Maintenance???

thanks

Your best bet is the owners club. Logon to

www.amoc.org

Whilst I'm sure you'd be able to use one everyday (in fact, they may benefit from regular use) you'll need deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep pockets

I run a ’74 V8 as a weekend toy They’re fantastic to drive but like any other Aston pretty expensive to run. As long as you buy a decent one to start with then somewhere around a £1 a mile for annual maint would be in the ball park. I only do about 3K a year in mine and figure that since the car itself isn’t depreciating (in fact the opposite) then the running cost compares fairly well against the annual depreciation on a modern car. Echo Twin Turbos comments about the AMOC, it’s well worth joining or at least registering for the AMOC forum. Plenty of owners do use them every day.
