And who's the owner of Aston Martin? I guess he's the equivilant of Nickolai Smolenski (or ex-Peter Wheeler).

Bill Ford.

Well, his family own it.

(and may I say what a good job they're doing, compared to the mess they've made with Jaguar. In fact what they've done is to not meddle, but allow Aston to utilise the rest of the PAG group facilities/expertise. Oh, and give them a shed load of money).

They still are, Andy. The Vanquish is built at Newport Pagnall, with the DB9 at Gaydon. The V8 Vantage will be made at Gaydon as well, and when the Vanquish successor is announced it will be built at Gaydon as well. When this happens, half of Newport Pagnall (the factory, on the south side of Tickford street) will be surplus to requirements. The north side of Tickford street will probably continue as a service centre- which is exactly what it does now.

Whatever happened to the DB7 site at Bloxham? Was it sold off? I guess AM don't use it any more, at least.

It is now nothing to with Aston Martin. I drove past it 3 weeks ago while in the UK.

Bloxham was leased and the lease ended, one reason why AM set up a new factory at Gaydon. Bloxham is now the Vantage Business Park.
