AMV8 Vantage Volante?

Does anyone know if the Vantage is gonna have a roofless variant?

The M&S DVD (The Ultimate History of Aston) I bought back in the summer has some footage of the DB9 clay model being made. In the background is a rag-top model (full size) of an AMV8 in silver. There are "speedster" style humps just behind the front seats and it really does look quite stunning.

I reckon it might see the light of day (in concept form) 6 months to a year after the coupe hits the streets.

Still, I prefer a metal roof over my head, so I'll settle for an AMV8 Vantage coupe. In black.

Rumour has it that there is an area at the factory marked out for storing Volante body panels, and some dealers are accepting letters of intent for the Volante as well as the coupe.

I've also heard that if it does happen, it will be about 2 years after the first coupes it the road, but from what I've seen of the DB9 Volante pics, it will be well worth waiting for

Ed, are you still on the AMV8 Vantage waiting list? I notice (from your profile) that you've got a Sagaris on order.

I've still got a deposit down on the Sagaris, but as time has gone on, I've decided that I will probably keep the Tuscan instead.

I'd like to think that I'd change to the AMV8 when "my" slot comes up, but I'm so far down the list that it's going to be quite a few years until I see the car, and who knows what will happen during that time!
