can someone give an indication of running costs doing approx 3k per year in a DB7?

Also, can anyone recommend an AM dealer in the South for servicing?

many thanks

Lancaster Sevonoaks , imo best AM dealer on the Planet

Can't quite remember the running costs of my DB7, but I don't recall any problems. There's a few guys on here in the AM trade, so they might be able to answer for you.

How the hell could you possibly stick to 3K per year in a DB7?

I'd do more that that in the first month if I bought one

Just having a sneaky peak from the Maserati forum and sneaky Shnozz appears ! We must stop meeting like this..people will talk. Sorry to go OT but I am going to the Hever Castle meet if you want to go! No spare ticket for saints v pompey though. ( not that you'd want it after mid-week )

Just tokeep on topic, no I dont know anything about DB7's.

Cheers

I have it on good authority that Tim Butcher at trinity engineering is the man to see, he takes the car in for it's first check over and sorts it out completely (not scary money depending on existing condition), he then doesn't expect to see the car other than normal servicing - allow around £1.5K a year. He is exceptionally passionate about Aston Martins and is well known in the AMOC. It may be worth checking with the factory as I know a few of the guys have their cars collected and serviced this way. Good luck in convincing your Dad, I managed to convince mine and he is over the moon now he has it

Edited to add - set of tyres from Micheldever - £600 - insurance around £500 limited mileage.

I'd recommend Rikki Cann in southend -- he's known as "Dr Vantage" amongst the cogniscenti, and looks after mine.

thanks all - much appreciated. He currently has an E320 Cabriolet Mercedes which is low miles and he has owned since new. Telegraph motoring section did me no favours Saturday by referring to it as "appreciating" and a "future classic"

However, I bought Top Marques and got it in front of him and now pleased to say he is looking at a dark blue DB7 cabrio and going to keep the merc as well

If all goes well I'll try and grapple the keys off him for a Virginia Waters at some stage. Ta muchly for the help.
