I haven't driven a car with the ASM2 yet so cant really comment, but the double clutch systems I have driven are all fantastic. I think it's the way that Aston needs to go.
I think I read that the Aventador does not have a twin clutch - according to Lamborghini weight is a major downside so they developed another solution.
DCT's are incredibly efficient but is that also their Achilles heel? (not that being efficient is bad per se, but that for such an interactive part of the driving experience are they a bit, well, soulless?)
Most seem to agree it was the right route for Ferrari in the 458.

I'm not convinced there is a benefit to them in the real world other than gear changes so smooth you cannot tell what's going on and manufacturers charging a premium for the latest gizmo I haven't driven a car with the ASM2 yet so cant really comment, but the double clutch systems I have driven are all fantastic.
