Based on Paddy328's Recommendation for the elite care ultra plush towel I ordered the Ultra Plush, the carpro eraser and the reload

First thing I'd like to say is that the delivery from Elite care, was not only superfast, and everything was well packed, it was also reasonably priced, so that was a good start..

So I started off with a wash and dry... Surfice to say that, the micro towel is awesome, it just soaks the water away and the car is dry in no time... In fact it holds so much water its a struggle to wring it out, so I bought an old Acme mangle off ebayhehe This makes the towel even bettersmile soak up the water, a quick run through the mangle, and its ready to go again.. seriously I think I had the car completely dry in about 10 minutesthumbup

Then I used Carpro eraser, degrease the car, with this you just spray on and then wipe off with a clean micro fibre towel..piece of cake... talking of cake... this stuff smells good enough to drink..so I had a quick swig.... not bad at allhehe

Then finaly we're onto the Reload polish... Again this is just a spray on wipe off deal, and it really is as easy as it sounds... again it smells good enough to drink, but it's not quite as tasty as the eraserhehe

And here are the results of about 2 hours work.... I'll have to see how it lasts, but if its this easy to apply, its not really a hardship to do it every month or so..

Oh and these are the first pics of my refurbed wheels.. I love the new lookcool

Glad you bought the stuff. Though do you mean that you have bought the carpro reload to protect the car?

This stuff:

Love the idea of a mangle though lol.

JCT just returned the DB9 Francis.....completely washed and cleaned.....that should do for a year !!!

Seriously though t1blk and Mikey have advised that my bodywork needs the 'clay bar' treatment. Not entirely sure what that means smile

It means that the paint feel rough as a cats tongue. (I had so many adult themed ones, but when with the safe option there...)

Pretty much a bar of stuff that is kind of like blu-tac and with either water or clay lube, is rubbed over the car to remove bonded contaminents and make it feel smooth again. Then you would do well to have it machine polished afterwards, even if its just a quick once over.

Yep that's the stuff....ultra plush towel, carpro eraser, and reload....

The mangle is brilliant, following a serious shoulder injury in my youth, my right arm isn't very strong, and wringing out those towels when loaded with water, is a real struggle, and once they're soaked, they don't work so well.... You wouldn't believe how much water a simple old fashioned mangle will squeeze outyikes makes the job so much easier.smile

What colour is your car Lunablack? I keep squinting and can't decide if it's dark green or black. Either way, love the lighter interiors.

Paddy - any recommendations for a Wash Mitt? I have two sheepskin mitts and both have fallen apart pretty quickly.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought i'd post in here instead.

I've received my supply of ReLoad and the cloths Paddy recommended and have given the car a good wash and polish on this glorious day. My word, this stuff makes the paint feel absolutely perfect.

Here are a couple shots

looks fantastic, though I suspect it looked damn good before you started, I have swirls in my paintwork and although I own a non rotary UDM polisher I haven;t used it on the car. I know I shoul dget a detailed in but I don;t have a closed space for someone to work in. Would you recommend getting some of this stuff and do you feel it would help? Don't worry I won't hold you to your response and understand it will just be an opinion.
Thanks
Pete

Yes, it did look good beforehand, it's true. But this stuff is so easy to apply and does really make the car feel and look superb.

A coat of this is quick to apply and done every two weeks or once a month should keep the car reasonably protected. Obviously, there's no substitute to a full detail, but as an interim measure it's really good in my humble opinion.
