Responding to Jockman elsewhere has just made me wonder...

I know the passenger seat in an ISOFix V8V doesn't have height adjustment. But what else is different?

e.g.

- are the fix points actually on ALL seats and the relevant adjustment just disabled?
- could an ISOFix equipped seat be retro-fitted (temporarily)?
- does anything have to be changed with the passenger airbag set up? e.g. to allow it to be disabled.

I deliberately bought a non-ISOFix car 5yrs ago. But it might actually come in handy over the next year or two (assuming I wait that long to change cars). So was wondering what might be involved...

sMurph - definitely find out how to turn off the air bag on your passenger side, as young Abraham will be in a rear facing seat for quite some time.

Other than that, are ISOFIX fittings a legal requirement or is a standard seatbelt arrangement suitable ??

I've really no idea smile

They are different seats. On the non Isofix ones you can't disable the passenger airbag. well you probably could but will need modifying as the switch is not fitted.
Looks like its a Rapide for you!

This is what I thought...

I wonder if it's possible to wire up a switch.

Probably too much hassle. Cheaper to buy a 599 biggrin

As for the Rapide. In a few years' time I might seriously consider one.
