One word of warning - Apparently Sussex Police who are based in Lewes are planning a major campaign this summer in response to residents of Lewes complaining about (mostly bikes with tricked up exhausts) blasting through Cuilfail and then down the A27. Something about section 59's (not sure if that's the right description) as well as speeding tickets if appropriate.

Being that Sussex Police HQ is walkable from the Cuilfail tunnel and residents are getting angry at people blasting through (as said above), i'd go careful there if I were you.
There's still the Southwick tunnel which, although it has cameras and is larger so probably not acoustically as good, is NSL.
