Am I missing something does this sound quite cheap for a DB9 2008 (08).

Black, 14k miles, 2008, cream interior, 1 owner from new, under warranty until April 2012.

Its up for £46,000?

Hi Deano

without a link to look at the DB9 and specific spec it is hard to say. However, what I can you tell you is that I got shot of my 2007 (MY08) DB9 sports pack , black with truffle , 16k , FAMSH for £47.5k part ex to a dealer in December 2011. I know they sold on very quickly with a normal dealer mark up (probably a good 3-5k). I would suggest that you are looking at a good deal if the warranty is pukka, worth getting a proper AM pre-warranty check as well to highlight any 'secrets'.

good luck

It's not amazingly cheap if it's by a private sale.

Post a link up to the advert for the people (including me) who can't be arsed to search for it.

Oh yes it is matey !!

I've seen 09s at 20-25k more than that.

I assume he's getting his Virage from a Dealer ?? If so, surely he was offered more as p/x that his current selling price confused

Not really, I'd expect an 09 at £65k, and since that is an 08 (i.e. pre upgrades), I'd say £50k. If he wants a very quick sale then it's priced very reasonably.

Although I have been drinking all day so I may be talking bks smile

Looks alright, apart from the wheels which are not to my taste. You are only going to be comparing a few pounds with any other available DB9, never going to find a similar car for huge amounts less, if at all. So if you like it, get it checked out and get it bought.

I understand the upgrades Georgeous - mine has them - but even still 08s are on the pre-owned site for £20k more.

There must be something else going on here... smile

It does look rather surprisingly similar to this car (minus a little photoshopping of the plates):

Well assuming both the adverts are genuine, and the dealer is selling on behalf of the customer, that's a hell of a mark up !

Bargain. If AM are selling it then it must be a fairly kosher car. Good mark-up, but includes their negotiating margin no doubt.

I would be very tempted by this if I was in the market.

Of course, that's assuming the autotrader advert isn't a scam and / or the photos were taken from the pistonheads ad...

With a glut of cars for sale, how do you sell quickly? You price it as the cheapest!

I was desperate not to sell my DB7 to the dealer and sold it a whack under what it was worth. Dealer offered me £20k at trade-in, car was 'worth' £26k even privately. I sold at £21.5k, just told the buyer he needed to make me a better offer than the dealer. He did.

The dealer has probably offered this guy £44-45k, so he's asking £46k. If he doesnt get it, he trades it, not much you can do otherwise when you need the money towards your new car!

Could be a scam, but not quite cheap enough and car is usually in Bratislava in my experience of attempted scams...

Well, given that the seller appears to be in Bristol and the dealer is in Sunderland, it seems unlikely (though not impossible of course) that this is the same car - just the same pictures. Which makes you wonder obviously...

One car has 10,400 miles, the other has 15,000 miles, so the ad's are not for the same car. The pictures are the of same car. Think it's more likely that the private seller has used the dealers photo's than the other way around.

Extremely unlikely mon ami.

I've just been offered £65k p/x from a Dealer for my 09 DB9. Why would he offer £20k less for an 08 model.

I revert to the old maxim...if it sounds too good to be true.... smile

Well spotted HR, it does look rather suspicious as that car also appears on the official A.M. approved site and the images are the same in all three adverts. As Jockman says best be careful with this one!

Cheap car, if as described. I sold an identical car (except tungsten exterior colour) 14 months ago for £67k to an independent specialist.

That would be about 35% depreciation (trade for trade) in a year for a car already over 2 years old!

Fair enough and stand corrected! At almost £20k underpriced, a scam it is smile
