Hi all, I've been seeing a few requests come in for user manuals, documentation, how-to guides etc...

If everyone PMs me whatever they have then ill categorisel, sort and then stick it all on a single file share that you can all access.

Seriously, don't worry about what it is, just send it. If it needs an explanation then just supply that in the email and I'll categorise accordingly. Hopefully then we'll be able to share download links and point people to a download area rather than have to email files back and forth.

The only condition is that it should be Aston related.

I've received a couple of emails already - thanks to you guys.

I'll figure out the best technology solution for hosting and sharing these. In the meantime, I need more!! :-)

Would this be allowed to be made a sticky? Very useful resource when done, good job smile

Good idea Slarti...be wary of any copyright infringements, though I'm sure you've already considered this wink

Why not use Google Docs? You can keep it private by emailing the link wink

Thanks all. Totally open to suggestions on how to host the files. Google docs is defo an option, as are the usual file upload sites however, I'm looking for something tha will allow us to have conversations 'around' a file eg we upload a file which may be a manual, and then others can comment on that file e.g. "this is out of date, try this other file instead" - that's not a great example. But you see what I mean.

Copyright is an interesting one. I'm considering putting stuff up until we're asked to take it down. Obviously there can be lots of debate about this but I think a common sense approach should be suitable.

Dear friend,
as a new owner of a DB9 Volante (2007) and newcomer to PH, I wished to put at disposal of members my 23 years Porsche "experience", including all "tables" of Nurburgring Nordschleife, as well as the documentation I gathered so far on DB9.
PH administrator rejected my proposal, by affirming that it is not .... "in the PH spirit" !!!!
In fact, while I understood that - since the beginning - sharing information, docs, experience, is exactly the spirit of PH (as confirmed by other members), I sent you by e-mail a note summarizing all documentation and other stuff I may put at disposal of other members.
Due to the size of some documents (or .ISO files for DVD's) an appropriate "sharing" tool might be needed.
Thanks for attention.
