With the recent demise of DMS, I'm currently looking for somewhere to carry out the servicing of my 06 V8V. As I live near Derby, Aston Engineering would be convienient but they look like they more cater for the older cars. Has anyone used them to service a modern Aston and if so what were your impressions?

I live near Derby as well and I am thinking of trying them for my V8V. I have visited them a number of times, their work on older Astons is outstanding and they have an excellent reputation. I think the problem might be getting a 'slot' as they are booked up weeks in advance

Just a thought , why not try the Aston Martin Dealer in Derby.

Ring them and ask for a quote.

They do have a good repuattaion, but I never used them on my DBS V8 as at first they didnt want to work on the car: "its not our sort of car..." was the snobish reply I got. So as they didnt wnat my money, I wdidnt give it to them and got it restored elsewhere.

Also, they do enjoy their motor racing. And remember that as a customer, you are paying for them to race.

They don't race themselves ? The run some customer cars for racing, but those customers pay for it ? Do you think they take their profits and use them to let other people race ? Bit of an odd assumption ??

Really nice bunch of people and I can't imagine they would ever be snobbish ? I guess we all take things differently though ?

Did a brilliant job on rebuilding DB5 for Spa 6 hour and it ran better than ever.

However, I am not sure if more modern Astons are their thing or not ? Just give them a call, lovely people and would no doubt be happy to help.
