The previous owner of my DB9 had new discs and EBC Redstuff pads fitted in April 2009 at 18000 miles. I bought the car in July 2010 and was pleasantly surprised by the complete lack of brake dust. The pedal feel was hard and the brakes let out an occasional squeal when cold, but I had no complaints about the stopping power. Two services and 8000 miles later, in December 2011, my dealer found the backing on all eight pads had come adrift and they needed urgent replacement. (The discs were 20% worn) With OEM pads fitted the brake pedal has a softer feel, making it easier to apply progressive braking, and the brakes have not squealed once during the 1500 miles covered since the service.

I would say the greens are the pick of the bunch of 3
Good grief, that doesn't fill me with confidence. I don't know whether they are different for the AM but for my XI the greens were a complete disaster. On a short sprint circuit I managed 5 laps before I lost all braking due to the pads overheating and my car only weighs 500kg. I have now got a set of Mintex 1144s to go on as they can stand a 15 minute race with no loss of effectivity. From my limited experience Greenstuff are a triumph of marketing over substance. The EBC are different compounds for different uses and suit different cars.
I had Yellowstuff on my Elise and found them exellent on road and track, but that doesn't mean they'd be any good on a car as heavy as an Aston.
At the end of the day I have no complaints with OEM so will be sticking with those.

i have used yellows on all my DB9's and have found them to be excellent, i have now started to use blues which are again excellent - the AM pads were rubbish, after heavy usage they cracked, they squealed, huge producer of brake dust and the worn out twice as quick - plus having AM changing them was a £600 expense - i see no upside.
