I use reds on mine - love them. Not a drop of brake dust and no noise from them whatsoever. Oh and they brake very well too obviously!

Bedding in procedure is a nightmare though, they sound like bus brakes for the first 500-1000 miles, but it's worth the pain!!

Do you know if the yellow stuff are dust free and noisey while bedding in ?

No yellows are dusty - albeit a lot less dustier than OEM. Haven't experienced them personally but heard they are pretty noisy all the time when cold.

Unfortunately 90% of brakes will make noise during bed-in so that's just something you will need to live with.

If you spend a few minutes on google you will see that the EBC yellow stuff get mostly terrible reviews.

The previous owner of my DB9 had new discs and EBC Redstuff pads fitted in April 2009 at 18000 miles. I bought the car in July 2010 and was pleasantly surprised by the complete lack of brake dust. The pedal feel was hard and the brakes let out an occasional squeal when cold, but I had no complaints about the stopping power. Two services and 8000 miles later, in December 2011, my dealer found the backing on all eight pads had come adrift and they needed urgent replacement. (The discs were 20% worn) With OEM pads fitted the brake pedal has a softer feel, making it easier to apply progressive braking, and the brakes have not squealed once during the 1500 miles covered since the service.

Good grief, that doesn't fill me with confidence. I don't know whether they are different for the AM but for my XI the greens were a complete disaster. On a short sprint circuit I managed 5 laps before I lost all braking due to the pads overheating and my car only weighs 500kg. I have now got a set of Mintex 1144s to go on as they can stand a 15 minute race with no loss of effectivity. From my limited experience Greenstuff are a triumph of marketing over substance.

If it ain't broke don't fix it wink
OEM pads are Pagid/Brembo
Might be worth a fluid change and a proper bedding in?

The EBC are different compounds for different uses and suit different cars.

I had Yellowstuff on my Elise and found them exellent on road and track, but that doesn't mean they'd be any good on a car as heavy as an Aston.

At the end of the day I have no complaints with OEM so will be sticking with those.

i have used yellows on all my DB9's and have found them to be excellent, i have now started to use blues which are again excellent - the AM pads were rubbish, after heavy usage they cracked, they squealed, huge producer of brake dust and the worn out twice as quick - plus having AM changing them was a £600 expense - i see no upside.

Didn't think EBC's had wear indicators in them though?
The reds in my 3200 certainly haven't and I didn't keep the DB9 long enough to have the need to change them.

News to me. Mine definately don't. It might be worth checking before ordering.

Never hear of anyone mixing!! Sure it's fine but wouldn't recommend it.

Reds are ceramic remember, so will last twice as long too.

Greens are horrendous - if you think they are good try yellow or red then report back.
