Brake lights stuck on
Discussion
Hi all,
Can't find anything about this in the search, but the brake lights on my V8V N400 (essentially an '08 V8V) are stuck on
I got pulled over by a (very polite) member of the plod, who told me they'd been on for a few miles.
My first reaction is to hit the battery cut off switch (if I could remember where it is), but I actually need to make a couple of journeys today, typical!
I tried pushing the brake pedal a few times, and once that made the lights go out, but I can't make it happen again. If I dip the clutch then it goes out, but as soon as I release it they come back on. Even with the car locked, they stay on, which is odd.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Steve

Quick update, I managed to get the lights to go off again by pressing the brake pedal. Hopefully they'll stay off now.
I tried the Battery Disconnect Switch, but the light on the switch didn't come on, and it didn't seem to affect the brake lights either, so not sure if it's working? Tried pressing it once, and holding it for 10 seconds.
