Vantage GTE at Le Mans 2012
Discussion
The AMR-One has been dropped for this year and AMR will be entering two Vantage GTEs at a number of races this year, including the Le Mans 24 hrs.

Boy does it sound good! I will be there again this year... anyone else making the road trip?

Absolutely, I'll be there flying the flag!
I'm sad Aston will not be in the Prototype class but if they can't produce something better than the AMR-One I'm glad in a way. Shame they can't use the Lola chassis and the V12 competitively anymore
Are they only running the GTE or will there be a GT3 as well, i.e. the V12 engined car?

At the moment they have 2 x GTEs entered (LMGTE-Pro Car 97 and LMGTE-Am Car 99) but have a third down as a reserve (LMGTE-Pro Car 98). Interestingly the AMR-One will be racing too but under Pescarolo Team colours and fitted with a Judd engine.... could be embarrassing if it does well! No other teams have Astons entered.

That is curious... Pescarolo don't mess about, if they wanted that chassis, they'll know it's a gem! Could be competitive with a Judd engine, I remember the Judd V10s of old, thy sounded like vintage Formula One racers! I see it's to be called Pescarolo-03, no AM link Judd are only round the corner from Gaydon, cant' they make some sort of link up and race as Aston?
Might head to Spa for the 6hrs, I love that race, far more exciting than Le Mans!
