Hello All

I am looking to buy an Aston Martin Vantage very shortly.
I have seen one but it has 2 x Aston Dealer Services and 3 x Services at "Derby Motor Services" which apparently are a established Aston Garage who do servicing and repairs. I've personally never heard of them.

Has anyone heard of them? Are they reputable? I suppose my concern is buying the car and it affecting the re-sale value.

Thanks in advance
Sukh

You will hear a lot of good feedback here on DMS.
I took my V8V there to be serviced last year (round trip from Southampton to derby), and their knowledge and customer service was second to none.
Sadly they have gone out of business now, but their reputation is still excellent.

Good reputations or the quality of work carried out but they have now ceased trading.

I had my V8V serviced by them and I would favour a car with a Derby Motor Services history over one from a main dealer.

I would not hesitate in buying a car with DMS service stamps.
Their service and reputation were excellent.
Sadly missed!

DMS had an excellent reputation amongst Aston owners. Although they went out of business before I bought mine, I would have travelled up from the south coast to Derby just to use them, such was the regard for their technical expertise on here.

as above - the last 3 stamps in my book are from DMS

/regardless I wouldnt worry about where it was serviced too much ...even if its been at Works Service every year...its not like its a 30 year old DB4 that needs the provenance to maintain its £350K price tag wink

Trinity Engineering in Cobham. Just been there today - they really know how to look after Astons.

Not had work done there but a top notch outfit judging by today's outing. Wouldn't hesitate to give them a shout.

I'd also recommend Nicholas Mee in SW London, they've done very good things with my car, lots of knowledge there.
