Stone Chip Guards on an V12V
Discussion
Fitted them to mine last week. They fit perfectly to the shape of the arch and sill. One word of warning...the instructions tell you to drill a 10mm hole (if your car hasn't got them) in the inner arch liner to take the scrivnuts (plastic expanding fittings) that are supplied as the upper and lower fixing points... NO...Must be the smallest '10mm' fitting I have ever seen. Sized them up before drilling and found that a 7.0mm hole was just right.
I have now used the car twice and am really surpised how much 'splash and crud' there is the inside of the guards. All of which would have been down the side of the car previously...A good investment me thinks

+ I needed to put a slot in to the lower screw portion of the guard to get the screw on the thread then slide the guard on to it. No way it was going on other wise with out a lot of faffing.I have now used the car twice and am really surpised how much 'splash and crud' there is the inside of the guards. All of which would have been down the side of the car previously...A good investment me thinks

Ah forgot about that one! I left it complete but used a bench grinder just to reduce the height of the rubber shoulder so that the stepped screw could start easier in the first few threads. Bit of faffing there ! Have to say Grange did mine and they are so good you cant even see the join on the rear quarter excellent work and worth every penny having had to respray the front of my DBS it was an expensive experieince !
The tyre however keeps losing pressure on the rear so i think itll ahve to go back and have the seals checked on the rims
