1) a certain cheshire based dealer has invited me on a factory tour with a blast in a dbs afterwards driven by one of their pro drivers, anyone done it and is it worth doing ?
2) The kx reg thing, what is the issue with these cars ? they are factory cars used by the press ? I suppose that means they will be well used ,but is that not better than a say 2 year old car with 1k miles on thats been sat in a garage for 360 days a year ? Astons are robust things now I thought ?

I'll answer your second point as I'm the proud owner of a "KX" car!
AFAIK they can be press cars, factory customer loan cars (which in theory mine was) or AM experience/track day cars.
I don't see it makes much difference, really, as long as they're in good condition (and you should always buy on condition!).
Mine had a higher than usual mileage, but the price meant I was able to get into a 12 month old car with 2 years factory warrantee remaining as opposed to an older but lower mileage car. The brakes (including disks) were replaced before I bought the car and it had brand new rubber all round. Any cosmetic issues were sorted by the dealer as well (e.g. replacing the scuffed sill plates). The engines are strong so I didn't see that as a problem, and the warrantee would cover any issues anyway (and mine doesn't seem to use any oil which implies it's in good nick).
The only "risk" was the clutch as it's condition couldn't be checked but I figured it was a risk worth taken. 12 months on and it's still fine.

2. Buy on condition, well within warranty if it makes you feel safer. Quite possible that these cars are high specs too
Im Spartacus!
I have a KX59 V12V and I cant see what the fuss is.
1. My car purchased for a stellar price with less than 900mi on
2. Was suspicious initially, but no hint of any abuse anywhere. The paint was immaculate, especially along the sills, the tyres were used, not new, the engine bay immaculate. The only thing I could point a stick at to differentiate it was not new was the odo and the fact some muppet had driven the car with a wedding ring or some other bling and had scratched the gear shifter.
3. The cars are designed to make progress. Doing a demo on a UK road is going to do nothing apart squeeze a bit of oil around the joints. Anyone thrashing it on a track is a) doing what its supposed to do and b) will incur a sill rash somewhere by the very nature of speed and grit on a road surface.
4. I suspect these are in the main demo units sold to Dealers but pre-registered in Gaydon.
No faults, no quarms, just the best almost new car I've ever had at what was at the time same money as a new customer speced 4.7 Van.

The first Vanquish S ever made came up for sale recently, at a dealer near me. At a very good price. Decided not to view as a quick search shows:-
