I noticed today when washing my p&j that the drivers window glass is scored from top to bottom in about 10 separate places and the marks will not come out with polishing. The door handle was replaced because it had corroded and the marks are in the proximity of the replaced handle. Could they be connected?

It's just been aserted by my supplying garage that this is normal 'wear and tear' for an early DB9. Grit accumulates in the felt strip. Anyone out there experienced this - I have never come across this on any other make of car?

I've just checked mine (MY07), and I cannot see any vertical marks.

Sounds a bit odd to me.

If you can get your nails in the scratches it's beyond repair and new glass only im afraid.

Windows that wear out? That is complete rubbish, it takes something pretty substantial to make a gouge in glass

Got exactly the same on my 2006 V8V. Vertical scratches, or at least scratches parallel with the direction of travel of the window.

I bought some glass grinding polish and wore out three 18v batteries on my cordless drill trying to get rid of them with only slight success.

I think Rick at DMS told me the only solution was a new window.
