My temp guage needle is sitting on top of the C in normal driving it does rise in traffic then goes back dowm.
As the outside temp is +5c on average is this normal?
The heater does work but i can't say it's great i use the heated seat most of the time to help.
I have read the Vantage suffers from faulty stats about 4 years in and mine is nearly 5 years old.
Is it duff?

Four years in? Mine lasted just over 12 months.
Presumably Aston deliberately varies its failure times to keep us guessing and in a high state of Aston Neurosis!

My thermstat has failed and I was planning on replacing it today, but have decided to leave it until it's a bit warmer.

Quite probably.

Known issue.

Not expensive - possibly 1/10th the price of a warranty

if it dosent get to midway within 20 mins then its fooked ...usually sticks around 1/3rd permanantly when on the way out

My service is due in May so i could have it done then and it would be still be under warranty.

But i don't mind replacing it myself is it a AM part only? If not too costly.
