'Back to the classics! Daniel Craig gets behind the wheel of James Bond's traditional Aston Martin for Skyfall'
'There have been a fair few changes to the traditional 007 formula since Daniel Craig took on the iconic role in 2006's Casino Royale.
But some old favourites return time and time again.
Bond's classic Aston Martin DB5, similar to the one seen in Goldfinger, was being filmed in scenes for the upcoming installment, Skyfall, in Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands today.'

Pretty sure nothing. In fact I make sure it is always nothing!
The fact that anything involving dinner jackets, gambling and the company of women also involves alcohol means the Aston is never on the scene
Pretty confident that I have never even worn a suit while driving it
Really?? Turning up to a nice restaurant, suited with + 1 on the arm in the Aston is cool... The fact that anything involving dinner jackets, gambling and the company of women also involves alcohol means the Aston is never on the scene

When my car was parked outside a cocktail bar in the local town I tried a vodka martini. Absolutely vile, how the hell James Bond could be coherent after drinking a couple of them is beyond me!
Done a couple of casino nights at local bars in full dinner suit etc too
Has to be done.......... Done a couple of casino nights at local bars in full dinner suit etc too

Taxi for me. Always. Otherwise how do you enjoy the wine? Best Bond moment (without Aston) was a party I was at a few years back. Party is in full swing, at 2am a knock on the door, guy in suit with an S-Class Merc to pick me up. I said my goodbyes to all the girlies (who were media luvvies) and got in the car with some vague talk about heading into the Middle East for some 'field work'. Coos and breathless gasps of 'be careful' were met with a nonchalant 'I do this for a living'.
Truth was I had a first class ticket on Emirates so they send a driver - he picked me up, took me home, collected my bags and headed to the airport to be flown out to a oil rig somewhere in India, via Dubai.
Top moment though, lots of numbers collected

Fatastic drink if made with the right ingredients in the right way. The Vermouth is more important than the Vodka (Noilly Prat man myself), plus the experiment with the dirtiness of the olives/brine to your taste will help you get into it. Persist with it, it's an admirable drink when made well.
Edited to add - it would never be stirred, a martini must be COLD! That's what shaking is for
I once flipped a triple roll, landed on all 4 wheels, leapt out of my open window and shot a megalomaniacal corporate leader square between the eyes just before he was able to hit the big red detonate button. Even though I narey spilt a drop of my vodka martini while doing this, the wife was definitely not impressed.

I think the most Bond moment for me was what many folk do on a daily basis... Pulled up with the wife and had the car valet parked outside the Monte Carlo Casino. Our hotel was only 5 mins walk away and the wife thought it a bit odd to drive, she understood the significance when emerging some hours later €400 up and having the car 'brought round for us'.
Felt very Bond, in reality, just run of the mill for most of the locals!

Oh, and I'm driving it to Monte Carlo in April... there will be a lot of dinner suit/Aston/sasino moments there I assure you
I am having to wait until next year for this - was supposed to be heading down for the Top Marques supercar show - but have a wedding to attend instead. yeti said:

I'll have to trust you on that. Might try one again some time in the future, last time I tried a manhattan because I thought they looked cool, but again it was horrible! I generally stick to white Russians when drinking cocktails.Persist with it, it's an admirable drink when made well.

Is the shaking not stirred thing something about not chipping the ice thus diluting the drink? I'm sure I've read something about that before.
