Hmmm, Vantage "Le Mans"

.....spotted last night. Sat in a pub near Fleet when I heard a lovely rumbling in the car park. Turned around to see a Le Mans Vantage parking next to Mrs Twin Turbo's Alfa.

What a gorgeous, gorgeous car (oh, and his girlfriend was a bit of all right too )

Am I right in thinking the Le Mans came with 600bhp as standard?

They only stayed for one drink, otherwise I would have mentioned his exquisite taste in cars

Not all had 600 bhp. They made 40 cars, some with the standard 550bhp engine, but most had 600bhp upgrade. To be very honest, most V8 Vantages left the factory with over 550 bhp anyway as they were a handbuilt engine, the power output was never that precise!!

Prince Naseem had one converted to automatic, I've also seen one that, believe it or not, had a rubber tail flap underneath it like you get on articulated truck trailers!!! The chap who owned it was a wealthy land owner who lived in an old farmhouse and didn't want to get mud all over the back of the car. Looked dreadful!!

I remember driving one back in '99. Awesome car. Even the standard V8 Vantage is a bit of a man's car, but with 600+ it's a real handful!!
