I heard from a Main Dealer at the weekend that the last of the 1000 units rolled off the production line in very early January.

I've not been able to get any further info at this stage if #999 or #1000 have any "special" features or what colour they are.

Upon asking if they could actually confirm #1000 is the last V12V Coupe I didn't get a response.

But I did receive cryptic info that the Geneva Motor Show next month may be a good source of imformation!!

new front splitter....some nice plastic bits on the side .....new bonnet air vents.....up the power by 15 BHP and call it the V12VR and limit it to 500 worldwide ......lets see how close i am when the full spec is known.......however if anybody from AM would like to correct me smile

I actually meant V12VR as in roadster, so quite a way off tongue out

At Geneva I guess we'll have both the V12 Zagato and the V12 Vantage Roadster; I doubt that'll leave any space on the AM stand for anything else, maybe a Congestion Charge exempt Cygnet?

And that Carbon DBS that the Peugeot owners think is boring! When is the show?

That was at Frankfurt last year, will still probably be there too I imagine.

Geneva is mid March I think.

Is the V12VR real or is it just the wishful thinking of a few on here ?

Personally a coupe rocket with a stick is all I need. If an R does appear no doubt it will have one of those auto box thingies so that one can have a free hand to keep ones hair in place. silly

It was indeed at Frankfurt so I didn't count it as a new release. I'm not sure we've had any rumours of anything else yet though.

Press days 6th-7th March, Public 8th-18th.

If they made the R with an auto box, I would be one very, very happy future buyer.

yes of course your right G George.... but I bet they will come out with some sort of new model to replace the V12V coupe....perhaps a V12V N420 starting at No 1001 smile

A bit more than 420 if they did, but they won't (will they ??)

I have some addional info on this:-

I enquired about trading in GS00192 for No. GS0999 or GS1000 at my Dealer over Xmas/New Year:-

Dear Mr G

Thank you for your e-mail.

I hadn’t been in touch with you before now, as I was due to have a meeting with the Mr X for Aston Martin yesterday, where the discussion that we had came up. It is my understanding that Aston Martin will continue to build the V12 Vantage past 1,000 units, and it will remain within the range, albeit in very small numbers.

How would you like to progress this further, given that information?]

I have questioned certain elements of the proposal but have yet to receive any further response in over two weeks!

G

This is getting confusing now. Are you talking about the V12V roadster or an uprated V12V Coupe? confused

Hi Guy, thanks for the info.
Are we going to make a group/PH claim against AM for mis-selling us our limited edition 1000 units worldwide V12V's??!!

I'd heard they are squeezing the V12 into a Cygnet for the next 1,000 cars

Unfortunately Phil, most of us bought our V12V's "slightly used". I doubt we have any contractual claim impled or otherwise.

.....Again, I think AM consider the V12V to be a legend in it's own tea-time. It is quiet clear where they beleive the bar for rare and exotic motor cars is....and it is a least £200k more than where we think it should be.

Car company in continuing-to-make-profitable-car shocker!

Can't blame them, but I'd feel a bit miffed perhaps...
