Intermittent turn signal failure

The front right turn signal on my 2006 V8 is failing intermittently resulting in a "fast blink" and warning on the dash. It comes and goes and I can't identify any pattern to the problem. Before I take it to my dealer, I wondered if anyone has experienced a similar fault and whether there is a home remedy. Cheers!

bad earth or dodgy pin....try disconnecting and plugging back in....

+1. inthe unlikely event of faiiing led's your looking at £1k+ eek for a replacement unit

Thanks guys...will try that on my lunch break. LEDs are fine...that was the first thing I checked. I'll post the results after checking.
