On my search for my new car (v8vr) I have found the running in service on cars (4.3) have mainly been done at 3 months but all the cars have been done at different mileages.

Is there a set mileage the service should have been done by within the 3 months ie BMW M cars at 1200 miles (with a small +/- tolerance) and if it has been missed will this cause warranty problems later?

Aston martin used to have the new cars back into the dealerships for a check over , it was 3 months or 1,000 miles .

From 2009 model year they dropped this . However some dealers still asked owners to do this.

Thanks for the reply BlackIce, interesting they dropped it for 09 year cars onwards.

I'm not sure how long you have been at Amersham, but do you know where Adam (in sales) went? I called the other day to enquire about a car and thought to ask for him having met him before, but was told he no longer works there. I get the impression he might have left a while ago? (Pm if you prefer)
