Hi,
A quick question if I may...
My 06MY V8V has a heated front screen. When I switch it on first thing in the morning it seems to only heat the drivers side. I have seen it heat the passenger side too on occasion and was wondering if this is a fault with mine or a feature to clear the drivers side first?
Many thanks.
Mark

Could be a loose connection. In some heated screen applications there are connections (and fuses) per side.

I can't comment on the AM setup...]

ETA - You need a new screen.

because it will be outside of manufacturers warranty and will be on extended warranty that does not cover ancillary electrical items.

Having done claims on extended warranties depending on what level of cover you have it should be covered as it is a electrical fault, any decent dealer should be able to sort this out without to much trouble. We have done claims on heated front screens that only part clear.

Crack in windscreen, tame windscreen company, insurance claim? (took my vanquish in for scratch repair, they suggested replace, I didn't argue £3K winscreen for £75)

Not sure if that's right but, had my 07 screen replaced for the same thing five months ago under warranty.

IF you feel along the screen where it isnt clearing and the is heat there then it will need a new screen , if the is'nt any heat at all then it could be a fuse or connection issue .

Also depending on the above and what sort of extended warranty cover you have, This could be covered .

Hope this helps.

So [pending a basic test] may not need a new screen as you first suggested? Or were you in Service Manager mode then?

hehe
